An act of betrayal by a lover or mate is generally acccompanied by severe emotional distress by the betrayee. Cheating is the most common form, but the act can take many forms, including emotional betrayal. Few women (or men) can forgive and forget such a transgression, as trust is severed with the act. "Dangerous Shadows", a new HD music video based on novel "The House on Black Lake" by Anastasia Blackwell explores the contemporary gothic suspense in a unique form. Filmed by award winning cinematographer Frazer Bradshaw with original music by Andrew Oudot, the moody piece incorporates flying and static trapeze acts.

The video was filmed at author Sam Keen's Sky Ranch in Sonoma and incorporates Trapeze Pro, a circus skills school located on the property.

Musician Collaborator Peter Busboom set out with camera in hand to find outdoor areas of San Francisco that had haunted feeling. He succeeded in finding paranormal energy in two areas - the shore near Golden Gate Bridge on Marin side, and Muir Woods. He added sound effects to visuals and I provided voice over, with actual  words from novel and some improv. The result is a a very provocative piece, with depth, and a mournful feeling that souls were indeed trapped in these areas.

Both areas were inhabited by Native Americans and early settlers. Clearly there are stories in the filmy air, nearly visible, palpable. And, I see 8's showing up - or is it just my imagination?

Many have told me they believe "The House on Black Lake" is a ""Twilight "for adult fans of the popular books and movies. And, perhaps this is true. My book is about an obsessive love, a devious antagonist and the lure of another equally beautiful specimen. It is unclear what powers Ramey Sandeley, Georgie La Pointe and Andre Labat possess, if they bite or inhibit Alexandra's soul in ways that have not yet been explored. But, clearly Alexandra is "taken" by these men, betrayed and transformed. In the music video of the book, many are certain they seen between the pictures, and that she indeed has been bitten and transformed.
